7 New Cafes/ Restaurants at Outram Park

With many upcoming new cafes and restaurants opening the past months, we were greeted with an entire refresh of eateries in the Outram Park area. Outram Park will no longer remind us of SGH (Singapore General Hospital), but instead as a hipster- turned paradise.

Everton Park

Having taken over the space of previous dog café Happy 3 Bites, Chew the Fat serves brunch menu and in house bakes. Cakes were sourced externally from a Halal-certified bakery so our Muslim friends can get to enjoy it here. Note that only tea (no coffee) is served here.

Telephone: +65 9436 3479

Opening hours: 12pm – 9pm (Sun-Thu), 12pm – 10pm (Fri-Sat)

As the weather gets hotter, we know office workers in their tight and stuffy office wear will find a piece of heaven here. Their handcrafted gelato is made in house daily with natural, low fat, no preservatives and colouring. Recommended flavours include matcha, mango pineapple and dark chocolate.

Teo Hong Road

Mad About Sucre

Telephone: +65 6221 3969

Opening hours: 12.30pm – 10.20pm (Tue-Sat), 12.30pm – 5pm (Sun), Closed on Mon

Possible the best French Patisserie we had come across this year. Pastry Chef Lena Chan graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Paris and craft every single pastry 3 times a day. Bringing out the best with such fine and intricate desserts with the right level of sweetness and lightness. We were totally captivated by it.

Keong Saik Road

Banana Tree

Address: 26 Keong Saik Raod, Singapore 089133

Opening hours: 10am – 8pm (Tue-Sat), 11am – 8pm (Sun), Closed on Mon

For those who frequent Korea, Banana Tree is definitely no stranger to them. The big fluffy candy floss drinks, cute little edible flower pots and bingsu-in-a-pot. So pretty, so instagram- worthy that it had attracted so much crowd since its opening that waiting time could take up to an hour or two during peak hours.

Neon Pigeon

Address: 1A Keong Saik Road, Singapore 089109

Telephone: +65 6222 3623

Opening hours: 6pm – 12mn (Mon-Sun)

If you are looking for Japanese inspired fusion dishes, Neon Pigeon could possibly be the place for you. This chic Izakaya style brings to you BBQ and smoked plated with alcohol pairing. Note that their Big portion can be a little small if you are going in a big group. All in all, we enjoyed the food there as much as the prompt service given.

The Working Capitol

Address: 1 Keong Saik Rd, Singapore 089109

Telephone: +65 68054050

Opening hours: –

A community workplace with and a cafe in one setting. Wifi, power- sockets. Convenient and cosy to mug and  do your work.

Lollapalooza Restaurant

Address: 1A Keong Saik Road, Singapore 089109

Telephone: +65 62213538

Opening hours: 6pm – 11pm (Mon-Sat)

Offering a seasonal produce,  the kitchen constructs a short menu of about 25 items daily that primarily rely on our wood-fired oven which burns applewood all day long. Oh, it can get a bit smokey indoors.
