6 July to 27 September 2015: Kyushu and Okinawa Cuisine

Indulge in sweet and savoury picks from Kyushu and Okinawa that is best known for healthy diets rich in fibre and collagen.

Japanese stewed noodles

Melt in the mouth pork belly!

Much to the delight of the seafood fans, there are fresh snow crabs, prawns, mussels and salmon sashimi. I really enjoyed the snow crabs that are delicately sweet with a tinge of saltiness.

mussel, prawn and crabs

sashimi, always my weakness, do you even?

beef paper hotpot, seafood and vegetable version available as well

and more seafood

Cheesey Baked Lobster, available only for dinner

Fried food lovers rejoice!~

Fried Tempura, gyozas and takoyaki balls

Apart from the delectable buffet line-up, there is a Kids Haven corner where kid-friendly dishes like meatballs and chicken karaage are served on low counters for the ease of the kids. (Adults also can take !) Children can also indulge in the fun of making their own Ice Kachang in the midst of the buffet.

Also, keep your ears on alert for the ‘dong dong dong’ bell for their hourly specials such as abalone and desserts.

the chewy abalone

And, what is a buffet without desserts? Rest assured that your sweet tooth cravings will be satisfied- chocolate fondue, cheese cake/mousse cake, tarts, jellies, mochi and ice cream!

Taiyaki- japanese pancake filled with red bean paste

And I sort of food-plated my desserts here too. The one on the top right of the plate is Kuishin Bo’s homemade donut from Okinawan brown sugar that goes well with the scoop of chocolate ice cream.

(mango pudding, sponge cake, cheesecake

In all, Kuishin Bo buffet offers a diverse range of decent food and is ideal for large group/company dinner in a comfortable and ambient setting.

(This was an invited media tasting.)
