Glasshouse café

【Updated 28/12/2015】From the same people behind the Palladium Café in Johor Bahru, the Parque Cafe opens in Kuala Lumpur KL following the success of its first outpost in JB!

Over the weekend, we hopped over to JB for an impromptu day trip with Hazel that led us to exploration of Eco Spring Show Village where Palladium Cafe – a glasshouse cafe is situated in the midst of a picture perfect garden paradise setting. More of such impromptu trips to come please!

This is definitely one of the most instagrammable (for OOTD everywhere/anywhere/inside/outside the cafe) yet inaccessible new cafe to open in JB thus far.  (P.S. details on directions to the cafe at end of post.)

Coffee Cups

Menu is simple with just coffee and cakes. A pity their Palladium Signature Coffee (RM16.90) – Iced Dark Chocolate with handmade espresso gelato was unavailable on our visit.

Interior of the cafe and its menu

We settled for a flat white, iced dark chocolates and a slice of carrot cake.

Carrot Cake (RM9.90 ~ SG 3.30) We chose this as we thought that it looks more attractive than the rest. Looks are deceiving, as the bland cake lacks fragrance and texture of the carrot shreds.

The flat white (RM9.90 ~ SG3.30) was nutty and smooth.

Flat white and iced dark chocolate (RM13.90 ~ SG4.60)

Iced chocolate with a hint of luscious darkness because, DARK CHOCOLATE. Jokes aside, the iced chocolate has an appropriate balance of bitter and sweet which we slurped down in no time under the blazing hot sun. The weather was mercilessly hot lah!

And, we had our share of fun taking OOTD (outfit of the day) with the takeaway cups. Okay, that’s me

Another picturesque spot while hiding under the sun – Under (my) umbrella (ella ella) ~

And concluding this post with a Jay Chou 周杰倫 MV: 手寫的從前, doesn’t the glass house looks similar?
