The Queen’s Cats – Tai Tai High Tea Cafe at Holland Village
If you see Barbarella at Holland Village, chances are she will most likely be at The Queen’s Cats, with a Tiffany blue interior (just like Dazzling Cafe), dainty tea sets perfect for a tai tai afternoon tea session and an ambience with an English charm.
Situated right beside Coffee Beans along Holland Village is a 2 storeys high building with a dental centre at the top level. The white washed exterior wall was hard to miss, and inside was spacious, cosy and probably girly enough for a quiet afternoon, of course, without any cats.
Only 2 seats were available outside the café, a pet friendly table for tai tais carrying their chiwawa in their beloved handbags, sipping on the English tea and people watch as the passer-by walked past. Quaint and quiet, we loved this hideout.
Afternoon tea sets were available in Classic ($39) or Royal ($49) that serves 1-2 person and additional $20 for 3-4 person serving.
The difference between the Classic and Royal tea sets were additional Smoked Salmon and chicken sandwich, lemon blueberry scones, French macaroons and tea of your choice. Pretty worth it to get the Royal tea set instead.
The Strawberry Shortcake ($9) was a dollar or 2 more pricey, with chunks of strawberry and a moist texture (not the Japanese light version). Each bite eluded a floral and sweet scent. Very girly and lady like that my female friends loved it.
Same for the Queen’s Royal Milk Tea ($9) with Lapsang Souchong and milk in English tableware that reminded us of Antoinette. Such English charm, drinking floral tea with floral pastries.
