Chotto Matte, Japanese Restaurant at Blair Road

A hidden gem at a hidden spot, at Blair Road. Chotto Matte (please wait a second) or maybe a 5000 seconds here, at Chotto Matte for a meal? Chotto Matte, if you have guessed it from its name, is a restaurant serving Japanese inspired dishes with a European twist.

Sashimi for you?
My favorite dish was this bowl of Garlic fried rice with kurobuta pork. The kurobuta pork was caramelized and glazed, adding a tender and sweet flavor to the fragrant fried rice. Portion of the bowl was rather huge and could be shared among 2.
Another recommended bowl was the Wagyu Foagura Fried Rice with slices of glazed foie gras and grilled wagyu. Addition of a warm onsen egg to the rice would be perfect!
Not a fan of rice bowls? You could get this angel hair aglio olio with Sakura ebi & uni, just be warned about the explosive fiery chilli padi.
The tender flaky and mildly sweet miso cod was to my liking as well though I am not a great fan of fish.

Lamb rack that is impressive in flavor and texture
A cosy restaurant that sits around 25 pax and private dining area with a sushi bar is available for bookings.
For those with a tighter budget (like me haha), you guys may like to check out Chotto Matte’s set lunch menu or make use of the Entertainer App 1 for 1 mains (not sponsored to say so). Omakase menu is available as well only upon request!
